China occupies an important position in the global seafood market and has become the world's largest seafood consumer. Seafood has become a major sector of Chinese food. China imported $7.072 billion of seafood last year, an increase of 8%, with this figure increasing annually.

From August 19th to August 21st in 2017, the 12th Shanghai International Fisheries and Seafood Exhibition and the 12th Shanghai International Aquaculture Exhibition will work together with more than 500 aquatics and marine product and downstream manufacturers around the world to meet over 20,000 professionals at home and abroad in Shanghai New International Expo Centre. In the meantime, to help more international exhibitors successfully enter the Shanghai and Central China seafood market, a business match-making session for international seafood importers will take place as part of the World Seafood Shanghai Exhibition (SIFSE).

Business match-making session aims to provide a convenient and efficient channel for exhibitors. Now China's famous imported seafood is Argentina red shrimp, coldwater prawn (Pandalus borealis), Dungeness crab, salmon, king crab, American lobster and orange roughy. In recent years, the pop seafood in the world are tuna, lobster, prawn and cephalopod. World Seafood Shanghai hopes to take the Business Match-making session for international seafood importers as an opportunity to build a full communication and interaction platform, thereby promoting business cooperation and importing more high-quality seafood.

Only 10 overseas seafood brand exhibitors will participate in the Business Match-making session for international seafood importers. The organizers will match three Chinese importers with one overseas export company. Each round of matching will be 20 minutes, and after ending three matches, there will be 30 minutes left for free communication. The number of participants in this event is limited, and some overseas companies have already signed up for this event that will bring Western rock lobsters, Argentine red shrimps, Thai black tiger shrimps, Canadian lobsters, king crabs, abalone, turbot, oysters and other products. For overseas exporters, the registration deadline is June 23, 2017. Your registration and consultation are welcome. The organizers will select the most suitable companies for participation.
